My computer is not shutting down how do I make it shut down without pulling the plug?

You can force a shutdown on any windows machine from Windows NT and newer by:

“Click the Start menu > click Run > type this command “shutdown.exe /s /f /t 30” press the enter key

On Vista and Win7 systems enter the command into the search box at the bottom of the start menu.

If you wish to Reboot instead of shutdown replace the “/s” with “/r”

If you wish to change the countdown time add any number in seconds to “/t xx” make sure to use a space between the “/t” and the “number”

Know you know…. and knowing is half the battle…. G.I. Joooeeeeee!
